Here’s your chance to show off your research skills and earn quite considerable money. Rates are typically high, starting at about $40 per hour. But this can quickly rise as you grow your client base and portfolio. Expect tight deadlines and relatively long hours.
Travel Franchise
Starting a travel franchise has never been easier. Many of the people who start in the field have no prior experience. However, the earning potential is uncapped. The whole point of a travel franchise is to match customers with their ideal holidays. In most setups, you get paid commission every time a person books a vacation through your branch. In other words, you get a cut of the takings of the travel company.
The great thing about going down the franchise route compared to starting your own business is that a lot has been done for you. You’ll get all the marketing tools you need. And you’ll also be put in contact with hundreds of partners and destinations. If you’re good, you can earn significant commission during the holiday season.
Graffiti Removal
Here’s a business you probably didn’t expect to see: graffiti removal. The great thing about graffiti removal is that it’s something that practically anybody can do. And, it doesn’t require a significant overhead to get started. Ideally, you’d have a branded van, but to begin with, that’s not essential. All you need is a vehicle to transport you to client property and the right cleaning equipment.
There are a couple of downsides. For instance, if you don’t like manual work, you won’t like removing graffiti. Plus the chemicals used to remove graffiti can be quite harsh. But the good news is that the job pays well. Clients usually pay by the job, for which you can be paid $150 to $300.

There’s a huge demand right now out there for people who can offer insight and direction. And, that’s no less true in the career space itself. Many people are unclear about what it is that they want to do with their careers, so there’s a significant opportunity here to sell your expert advice. Getting started can be a bit tricky. But you can build your reputation through seminars or even writing e-books. Once you’ve got your name out there, you can start charging anywhere from $85 to $200 per hour.
