Five Wedding Details You Shouldn’t Forget While Planning

Discover Five wedding details that couples often forget.

Wedding planning can be an emotional rollercoaster. There are so many decisions to settle on, phone calls to make, and invites to send that it’s almost impossible to keep track of everything. Ultimately, this is why some of the smaller wedding details can slip through the net and get completely forgotten about.

As a helping hand, this guide has gathered together a list of five important wedding details that you shouldn’t forget about while planning your wedding. For the past six months, you and your future spouse might have been thinking “Hey, I think we might have forgotten something”, but you haven’t been able to put your finger on exactly what it is. The likelihood is that it’s discussed below, so let’s waste no more time and jump into the details!

1.    Bridal Party Gifts

Wherever you are in your wedding planning process, you probably have a good idea of who you’re going to be inviting. From bridesmaids to close friends, your invitees will likely consist of the most supportive people in your life — which is why it’s a beautiful idea to show your appreciation through Bridal party gifts. Whether you choose personalized bottles of white wine or rose gold-plated disc bracelets, bridal party gifts will make your wedding day extra memorable.

2.    Venue Transportation

A typical wedding involves lots of transportation on the day. For example, if you’re having a traditional wedding at a church, everyone will need transportation to the after-party venue.

Don’t make the mistake of relying on Ubers or flagging down taxis for this. This is a particularly bad idea if there are hundreds of guests in attendance. Instead, the best option is to arrange your rides way ahead of time. Some guests will be able to drive there themselves, while you’ll need to hire wedding transportation for other guests so that they can be part of the after-party!

3.    Photographer

It sounds crazy, but countless couples leave it to the very last second before booking their wedding photographer. Make sure that you and your partner don’t fall into the trap of doing this. What you need to do is hire your wedding photographer at least a few months before the official wedding date. This way, you can relax knowing that your beautiful day is going to be captured by a professional who knows what they’re doing.

If you forgot to hire a photographer and find yourself franticly calling around wedding photographers with just a couple of days to go, you’ll find that they’ll charge significantly more money due to the time constraints. This is why you should always book them with plenty of time to spare.

4.    A “Thank You” Speech

“Thank you” speeches are usually done at the reception or after-party. They’re a great opportunity to show your appreciation to your wedding guests and make special mentions to the people who’ve helped you the most. Sit down with your future wife or husband and take some time to plan the speech so that you don’t miss anybody out.

5.    Backup Outfits

Fingers crossed, there’ll be no wedding dress or suit malfunctions on your big day. However, there’s always a small chance that a glass of red wine could get spilt on them, which is why wedding backup outfits are incredibly important.
