You Must Include These Four Things On Your Website

How To Lock Down Your IT Network, A Guide For Small Business Owners-Chispa MagazineFor those that aren’t aware, it is essential that your business has a website. But, how can you make your website the best one around? For starters, you can include each of the four things down below:

Images
The first thing on my list is simple; you have to have images on your website. Without them, your site can look bland and boring. It also looks like you’re hiding something. People will wonder ‘why aren’t there any pictures on this website?’. However, don’t go picture crazy and have all the space taken up by images. Perhaps a picture in the banner or on the homepage is a good idea. Also, these images have to be high quality, and they must be relevant. Don’t have random images on your site, it won’t make sense. Instead, think about taking pictures of your office or employees and uploading those.

Blog
You must include a blog on your business website! Blogs are all the rage these days and businesses are using them well. They’re a genius way for you to increase traffic to your site. Write regular blog posts about topics and events relevant to your industry. You could also write helpful guides and provide tips to customers too. If you have a blog on your website, your business will soon reap the rewards.

Postcode Finder
My next thing to include is a handy addition to every business website. On your site, you might have a registration page for customers. Or, you have a delivery section at your online checkout. Either way, these are two instances where someone will need to type in their address. To make things easier for them, you should have a postcode finder API on the page. No doubt you’ve come across this on other websites before. You type in your postcode and then it finds your address for you. It can save precious time, and it’s pretty cool too. People will be impressed if you have this on your business website.

Internal Search Engine
In my opinion, there’s nothing worse than a site with no search engine. Sometimes, people know what they want to look for. They’re looking for a specific thing; they don’t want to spend time navigating through menus. So, they find a search bar on the page and type in what they’re looking for. Every single website should have this. If you don’t have a search engine on your site, you’re shooting yourself in the foot. There are few things more annoying than trying to find something and stumbling through menu after menu. Especially when all you needed was to type something in a search bar. Do not forget to put an internal search engine on your website!

Include all of these things on your website and it will be very successful. You can’t get away with having a couple of these things; you’ve got to have them all. Some will improve the look of your site; others will improve the accessibility. They’re all important, and all essential.
