It’s not going to be easy, but nothing that’s worthwhile ever is. There are certain steps you’re going to need to take in your relationship. And, here are four of the most crucial ones that help build a perfect relationship.

Intimacy
No marriage will ever be fully complete without intimacy. It might be a bit of a taboo to talk about it, but sex is a crucial part of being married. You need to make sure you are intimate on a regular basis, and that you work on enjoying a healthy sex life. If you find you are having issues with intimacy in the relationship you need to make sure you address these problems. Talk about the issues you’re having, and make sure you figure out a way to change things up.

Commitment
Once you said, yes, it’s time for commitment, there is no room for wishy, washy thoughts. Whether personal or even in business, so many say yes and then become double-minded at the sign of stress. Don’t allow stress, or even trials to crumble on commitment when it has the possibility to strength and nourish your relationship. Seek guidance or coaching on this topic and learn that marriage is not necessarily to make you happy; instead, it’s to make you holy. And  that dear readers, means commitments stay.

House or Home?
No that you’ve been married for a year, is it time to have the talk of owning something together? Start thinking about what the two of you can afford, and don’t be afraid to look at luxury apartments or even a house in the suburbs. Dream together… but most importantly dream on a home, not a house.

The Next Step
Married couples often talk about taking the next step with things… home, vacation, in-laws… children. Next steps are crucial, and they will affects a lot of people’s relationships. It doesn’t have to happen right away, but you do need to keep next steps in mind as much as possible. You need to know that your relationship will have its ups and downs, its situations, its bumps and you should have conversations about it.

Being in a marriage is a wonderful thing, and it can really define your future. It’s important to consider all the successful marriages you see, and the stages they go through. The best thing you can do as a couple is talk and engage in actual conversations, but above it all, you both need to be firm on Truth and Agape Love toward each other. If this exists, all else will bloom.
