For Men: Planning To Propose? Here’s A Quick Rundown To Make Sure It Goes Off Without A Hitch

Planning To Propose, Here's A Quick Rundown To Make Sure It Goes Off Without A Hitch-Chispa MagazineYou have made that decision to get down on one knee and propose. This is a big deal and you may be feeling nervous. Perhaps you are not sure how to do it. But relax, it’s going to be perfect because of what you are asking, not how you do it. Of course, you still want it to be memorable. So here is a quick rundown on how to make sure your proposal goes off without a hitch.

Sort out the ring. The ring you present to your future wife is one of the most important aspects of a proposal. If nothing else goes to plan, make sure you do your utmost to make sure this bit is perfect. If you are looking to do something a little unique you could consider looking into purchasing loose diamonds and perhaps designing your own ring. How special would that be?

Figure out the perfect time to do it. You don’t want to rush the proposal so try and figure out the perfect time you can do it. It needs to be about the two of you and if it’s a complete surprise, you may need to enlist the help of someone to make a decoy arrangement.

The location is key. The location in which you propose needs to be special to you and your lovely lady. It doesn’t have to be somewhere extravagant, especially if that isn’t how you are, as a couple. You could even consider your home; remember, it’s about making the moment special. It will mean so much more if the location in which you propose has some meaning to you both.

Think about what you want to say. It’s a nerve-wracking thing asking someone to marry you. The chances are you may forget what you want to say if you don’t think about it in advance. It’s understandable. As long as the main words come out, then you have done your bit. However, proposing is your chance to tell your lovely woman what they truly mean to you.

Make sure you capture the moment. Finally, make sure you try and capture the moment as best you can. Maybe having a photographer on stand by, or setting up a video camera where you can capture the moment perfectly? It can all seem a bit of blur when it’s happening, especially if one or both of you get a little emotional. It will be a wonderful thing to look back on in years to come and you could even feature the proposal in the wedding itself.
