Practical Ideas To Make Your Bedroom More Organized

Practical Ideas To Make Your Bedroom More Organized-Chispa MagazineIf you have a family to care for, the chances are that most of your time will be spent focusing on them. While this is how it should be, it can lead to certain areas of your home becoming neglected. When you have multiple tasks to fit into your day, it’s easy to forget to do some of them, especially when you have little ones to look after.

The main area that gets neglected when it comes to cleaning and tidying is the bedroom; that’s simply because no one but you and your husband sees it. However, our bedrooms are meant to be retreats from the outside world. So, it’s important that you learn to keep your room looking as good as possible so that when you need somewhere to relax, you have it. To help you get your bedroom in good order, here are a few organization ideas to take note of:

Clean as you go. Just like when you are cleaning the rest of your home, when it comes to your bedroom, make sure to clean as you go. When you clean as you go, staying on top of the tidying is much easier, as only small things need doing.

For example, as soon as you take an item of clothing off, pop it in the laundry basket or hang it back in your wardrobe; don’t leave it on the floor. If you take a glass of water up to bed with you, make sure that each morning when you get up, you take the glass back downstairs.

Choose a bed with storage. If space is a premium in your bedroom, make sure to opt for a bed with storage. This can be a design with built-in storage, such as a divan bed, or it can be a platform bed with space underneath.

In most bedrooms, my own included, the bed takes up the majority of the space. If you don’t have storage under your bed, this whole area is wasted. When it comes to keeping your bedroom organized, the more storage space you have, the better. So wasting precious space under the bed, isn’t a good option.

Think outside the box. If your bedroom needs additional storage, but you don’t want to give up any of your precious floor space, consider your options. When it comes to storage space, there are plenty of other options other than floor storage, so make sure to think outside the box.

For hanging small items, add a peg rail around the edge of your room and use it to hang all your bits and bobs up. For shoes, add a stylish shoe rack to the wall to hang your shoes on. It’s amazing how adding a couple of small storage spaces

Have a bin in your bedroom. If there’s nowhere to dump your rubbish, makeup wipes and that kind of thing, your room will end up in a mess. By popping a small waste paper basket in your bedroom, you can ensure that any rubbish goes straight in there. Believe it or not, getting your bedroom organized is much easier than you would think.
