Without sounding like a popular TV show; Winter is coming. There is no better time than the last parts of Fall, to further invest in your living space so that you can create a cozy haven to snuggle-up in. Whether you’re a home-owner, or rent your property; there are plenty of ways to bring a warm atmosphere and cozy vibes into your home.
You can invest as much or as little time and effort as you want. And little things can often make a major difference. So, grab your favorite hot drink, put your feet up, and enjoy thinking about the things you might like to do in order to stay snug for the coming months and beyond.
Take A Seat
It might sound silly, but a great place to start when it comes to creating a cozy space is literally your sofa, armchair, or bed. Think about where you gravitate to the most when it’s time to catch up on Netflix, scroll on your phone, or eat snacks. Invest some care into your favorite place to sit and unwind, and think about some comfy additions. Start by freshening up! Wash sheets and seat cushion covers, grab that leather cleaner, for your lovely sofa, and give yourself a clean blank canvas to relax on.
Now the area is clean and fresh, it’s time to layer throws, blankets, and cushions. Whether you pick up a couple of bargains or are feeling like investing in something more luxurious; soft furnishings are an excellent way to update the space. They are non-committal and can introduce all sorts of cost and soft textures for you to sink into after a long day. Aaand relax…
Stock Up
Again, you don’t have to spend a lot here; however, stocking the cupboards at home with some of your favorite snacks and treats is a great way to enjoy those warm and cozy nights inside. Get hold of some second-hand jars, actually better yet; recycle some of your own! You can add some cute labels, and fill them with whatever takes your fancy.
Hot drink stations are a great way to put some love into your kitchen. Whether you’re into your coffee, or you’re more of a hot chocolate kind of person; decant pods, powders, syrups, and toppings into jars or bottles. Get those cute labels out again, and you’ve got yourself a little area of indulgence that’ll warm up even the frostiest day!. You can elevate your morning caffeine hit and ensure that the first cup is extra cozy (and fun).
Enjoy Those Little Things
You can create little nooks from things you already have, love, and enjoy. Find a corner, a window seat, or even a space under the stairs! Add some of those throws and cushions you pulled out earlier. Now, bring out the fairy lights, or a warm lamp, and add instant warmth to the space. Pile up your favorite books, or add your tablet so that you can curl up with that hot chocolate and lose yourself for an hour or so.
Candles are another easy way to add comfort and scent to a room or nook; have a look for some winter scents that have been created with cozy vibes in mind. It’s hibernation season, and you’re all set!
