Ways You Can Improve Your Start-Up Business And Get Yourself Noticed

Mompreneur-Chispa MagazineStarting up a business is challenging in itself. It’s a bold move to make even for the more professionally experienced of us and getting your company noticed to bring in customers (or even employees) can be a difficult task. In this article, I’ve compiled a few ways in which you can get yourself noticed and start reaping the benefits of having your own business.

Run a massive giveaway. Whatever it is that your company offers, run a giveaway/competition that will catch people’s eye. Doing this will show new potential customers that you’re generous and a friendly person/company to approach. This, in turn, will make people want to try your services out.

Interact with everyone. No matter what kind of service you offer, don’t just sit back and let employees meet and greet customers. Do this yourself. It will show that you care about the business and your clients. It will also show your employees that you’re not another mindless corporate boss.

Give good employee benefits. Give the best you can. Holiday allowance, overtime, good wage, performance bonus, employee discount, and anything else that you’re able to give to your employees. Treat them well, and they will treat you well! This will reduce staff turnover and reflect well on your business.

Ask employees for help. When you’re a new company, it can be hard to recruit people because they don’t know what you’re about. Ask your current employees to leave a review of the business on sites like Glassdoor. Brilliant Earth is an excellent example of how your business review should look.

Offer deals/packages. Having deals on as much as possible will attract customers. For customers that require a bulk of work done, why not give them a package deal that works out at a slight discount for them? They’re more likely to recommend you to others and come back if they know they’re not being ripped off.

Provide training. If your staff require training to do their job to the best of their ability, then provide it for them. The better your staff know what they’re doing, the better the finished product will be. All of this reflects on you as a business and will affect how well you do.

Keep your site up to date. By ‘site’ I mean either your company website or where your business is ‘based.’ Keeping these updated shows that you know what you’re doing. You’ve got to admit if you walk into a run down store you get the immediate impression that it’s not doing well whereas if you walk into a swanky store, you know they’re doing well which means what they’re offering must be worth buying.

If you follow this advice and do your job professionally and fairly, then your business will succeed. Remember, being trustworthy is one of the most important qualities for any boss and employee alike. Be honest, respectable and customers will come and recommend you to their friends too.
