This time of year is a great time for redesigning your living room. You may have some time off work, or just a weekend to make those essential changes. Often, a few small changes can make a big difference. For example, changing your furniture can often bring a completely new style and color palette to your room. The living room is one of those areas where furniture can help define your style and taste. Here’s our guide to your top five seating choices this season:

They can easily be moved around the room or the house. Some are so big, you can comfortably sleep on them. And, the best thing is the range of colors you can get to set off your decor. Recliners. We love recliners! They are such a great way just to sit and relax in the evening. You can put your feet up and even lay back. Some recliners are electric operated; these are more expensive than the manual equivalents. They also take up some of your valuable socket space too. The best thing is the enormous range of fabrics, patterns, and colors they can come in. The ultimate recliner is a rocker recliner. The gentle rocking motion is very relaxing, and the new modern ones don’t look like your grandmother’s recliner.
Massage Chairs. For those of you in a high-pressure job, a massage chair could be just what you need at the end of a long day. Some heat up and you can choose from neck, shoulders, back or even leg massages. They’re not the quietest machines, so you may need to turn up the TV volume, or even put on the captions. The choice of color is very limited, though, and many are leather.
Console Sofas. These are a popular choice for many at the moment. Console sofas have a center section between the two seats. It is padded so it can be sat on by a child and inside you’ll find a deep cubby hole for storing all your snacks. There are usually a couple of cup holes for your glass too. Many of these come in leather so colors may be limited. But, you can always add a throw or pillows for a splash of color.
Armchair. The humble armchair seems to have fallen out of favor in recent years, but they are back and popping this season. You can find an endless variety in the pattern, fabric, and color. Choose a matching set, or pick out a pair that are stark in their contrast. The choice is yours. Many have slipcovers this season. Not only does that mean they’re easy to clean, but you can interchange the coverings at whim.
Chaise-longs and corner suites have been popular choices for seating recently too. When it comes to seating, you might choose for comfort, or you might be seeking a particular look. Whether your decor tastes influence your decision or not, enjoy a comfortable sit-down after all your hard work.
