How to Stop Wedding Stress from Taking Over

How to Stop Wedding Stress from Taking Over-Chispa MagazineEven the most chill bride in the world can find themselves spiraling out of control. You can promise yourself there’s no way you’re going to succumb to the stress, but, the truth is you’re planning an event. Unless you’re a professional event planner, this is probably the largest party you’ve ever had to organize. Anyone would start to feel the pressure of choosing every detail. Not to mention having to deal with different people to get their day perfect. If you want to make sure you don’t either turn into a raging bridezilla or have a breakdown, there are a few things you can do.

Use a Wedding Planner
Trying to do everything on your own isn’t the best decision. Most brides have help from their partner, friends and family. However, you might be looking for something more professional. If you want some help from someone who knows what they’re doing, a wedding planner can change your experience. They can take a lot of the pressure off you during the run up to your wedding and during the big day itself. They have valuable contacts so they can get you great deals with local vendors. You can choose a wedding package to make sure you get everything you need.

Get Organized from the Beginning
It’s not until you start planning that you realize just how much there is to do. You can quickly become overwhelmed by all the work you have to do. The best way to stay on top of everything is to be organized from the very beginning. There are a few techniques you can use to make sure that you don’t lose track of what you’ve done and what you still need to do. Having a binder you can use to organize everything is one thing that can help. You can create spreadsheets too, which can help you keep an eye on your budget and schedule.

Make It a Team Effort
No one can do everything alone, so don’t try to. If you don’t hire a professional wedding planner, make sure you get help from friends and family. They may not be as interested as you, but make sure your intended does at least some of the work. Get help from your bridesmaids too, as well as your family and other friends. You just need to be careful about getting too bossy. You can delegate tasks but don’t act like a slave master or turn into a bridezilla.

Keep It Small
The larger your wedding is, the more difficult it will be to plan. Although you can make it easier with the help of a wedding planner, it will also make it more expensive. Before you go all out and invite hundreds of people to your big day, think about just how big you want it to be. Do you wish to invite everyone you’ve ever met or can you keep it to your closest friends and family?

Your wedding is meant to be the happiest day of your life, but it doesn’t have to be the most stressful too. Follow these tips if you want to make your planning easier.
