Wonderful Things We Like To Do With Weekends

Wonderful Things We Like To Do With Weekends-Chispa MagazineWeekends are the time we all look forward to. A time when we’re free from the stresses of work and the day-to-day grind. How does your weekend differ from ours?

A Bit of DIY
There always seems to be some sort of work that needs doing around the house. That’s why we like to take a block of time at the weekend and dedicate it to doing some DIY. This could be anything from grout cleaning to painting to mending the garden gate. But, we try to make sure we get at least one important DIY task done each weekend. This helps build our experiences with fixing things, and it also helps get little bits done on a regular basis.

Family Trip
Because the weeks are so chaotic, you’ve got to make the most of the weekends when they arrive. And, what better way to do this than to have some quality family time together? So many people these days don’t take enough time to interact and socialize with their family. And, this is a shame because family is so important. So, something we would suggest is taking a family trip or outing together. You could go into the big city for a weekend break. Or, it might be something as simple as just going for a walk together. But, make sure family time becomes a priority for you.

Enjoying Some Hobbies
The weekend is an excellent time to let your hair down and forget about work. So, with that in mind why not make sure you have some weekend entertainment. During the week, we’re stuck sat behind a desk. So, on the weekends we like to try to be as active as possible. And, this is the perfect excuse for us to enjoy some of our hobbies. We usually like to take the time to visit the gym and play some sports; we’ve become rather good at tennis of late! There are other things you could do as well like going for a walk, cycling, or even just staying in and watching Netflix.

Date Night
It’s important, as a couple, that you take the time to enjoy being together. As a staff, each of us and our husbands I like to pencil in a date night at the weekends. It’s a regular thing for us, and we find it important to keep up with it. You need to take the time to keep the romance alive in your relationship. These days life is so busy, and it seems difficult to make time for one another. But, you’ve got to make sure you do this. And, one of the best ways to do so is to create the perfect date night. We have a few techniques we like to use, and remember it’s important to make the time to do this on a regular basis. Try to do it once a week if you possibly can.

Cooking
We love to cook, but weekdays are often so hectic that we don’t always get the chance. A lot of the time it’s easier to just pop a pizza in the oven for a half hour. But, come the weekend, we love to get our recipe books out and experiment with different dishes. We find cooking to be fun and therapeutic. And, it takes care of mealtimes as well. We’ve recently started trying our hands at baking as well. If you get a free Saturday or Sunday sometime soon, we recommend some cooking.

Many of us live for the weekends. Now, don’t get us wrong, we love our job. But, we also look forward to having a couple days off at the weekend to recharge and rejuvenate. As you can see from my list, there are a lot of things we like to do on weekends. Variety is important, and we like to spend our time doing stuff we don’t always have time to do during the week.
