What Does Obamacare “Really” Mean For US Residents?

What Does Obamacare Really Mean For US Residents-Chispa MagazineThe Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, has sparked huge debates among the American public. Many of them feel it’s unnecessary and will cost the country a lot of money. Others think that it’s a much-needed safety net that will help some of the poorest members of our society. With that in mind, we wanted to find out what it means for people living in the US. The article and the infographic we’ve attached should assist in setting the record straight.

More Americans Gained Health Coverage
As expected, some 16.4 million American residents gained access to health cover when the government passed the act in 2010. They are people who would otherwise have struggled to pay for their medical assessments and treatments.

More Registered Nurses
The US now employs more Registered Nurses than ever before. They are doing that to help deal with the influx of new patients in their hospitals. That means qualified people who are leaving college no longer find it hard to source employment.

Increased Life Expectancy
By 2030, experts predict that more than 20 percent of people living in America will live past the age of 65. That is a huge increase when you consider only 13 percent were expected to reach that age in 2010.

It’s apparent that Obamacare is changing the health system in the United States. Are the changes for the better? We’ll have to let you decide on that one. Only one thing is for certain at the moment, the next President will struggle to reverse The Affordable Care Act… we wonder, is it here to stay?
