Getting Ready For Your Wedding: Make it as Stress Free as Possible

Getting Ready For Your Wedding-Chispa MagazineIf you had to pinpoint some of the most stressful times in your life, it’s likely that your wedding day would be one of them. There’s so much to remember, that you can end up with a pounding headache before the ceremony has even begun. You want to make sure you look amazing most of all, so here’s how to make that as stress free as possible:

Store the Dress in a Safe Place
Make sure you’ve stored the dress in a safe place so you know it isn’t at risk of any stains or damage before you put it on. This operation should be taken care of with the utmost precision! You don’t want your husband to be to see it either, so it’ll likely have to be stored in a relative’s house you trust. If you’re getting married abroad you’ll have a lot more to think about; like actually getting your dress on the plane.

Make Sure Everybody Keeps Their Distance
When you’re wearing your dress, politely ask friends and family to keep a wide berth if there’s any chance of them marking your dress. Drinks should be kept away, as should cigarettes and makeup. Think of every possible outcome and avoid putting your dress at risk.

Try on Your Outfit Beforehand
Have a little bit of a dress rehearsal with your outfit and accessories beforehand. This way, you can pre-empt any wardrobe malfunctions and feel confident that nothing will go wrong. You can find lots of accessories no matter your style. Look at these wedding hair accessories from Lola Bee & Me for inspiration.

Prep Your Skin and Hair in Advance
If you have lovely skin and hair in advance, you’ll have a much easier time with your makeup and hair. You’ll likely turn out happier with the finished result too! Make sure you keep up a consistent skin care routine, and treat your hair to weekly masks. Give your hair a break from heated appliances for a while too. Make sure you keep up a solid routine and you’ll find getting ready way more pleasant.

Call in the Pros
It makes sense that to make this day as stress free as possible, you should outsource as much of the work as you can. Find a professional hair and makeup artist to get you ready, and have treatments such as waxing and nails done in advance. You won’t need to worry about anything because you’ll know it’s all in good hands.

Ask Friends + Family for Help
If your friends or family can do hair or makeup, why not enlist them to help you? Tell them it’ll be your wedding present and they should be more than happy to oblige.

Get Plenty of Sleep
If you’re sleep deprived, you’ll no doubt get more stressed out on your big day and find getting ready difficult. Try to go to bed early, as you’ll likely want to get up at the crack of dawn to start preparing everything. If you can make sure you’re caught up on sleep in advance too, that’s even better.
