A lot of us presume that the aging process doesn’t begin until we’re in our late 30s or early 40s. However, the truth of the matter is that actually, the aging process begins in our early 20s, or at least, it can do. This might be a depressing thought—once you hit 20 you’ll start to age, but don’t let it get you down. The good news is that there are plenty of ways that you can stop the signs of aging in their tracks. To slow down the aging process and keep yourself looking youthful throughout your 20s, take note of what the most common signs of aging are. As well as the best methods of dealing with them. These will help to boost your confidence and make you feel happier with your appearance.
Fine lines starting to appear. One of the first things that we tend to notice when it comes to aging in our 20s is the appearance of fine lines. One day our skin looks perfectly smooth, the next we notice our makeup settling into the cracks. To smooth over any fine lines, try applying a moisturizer before your makeup and see if that does the trick. If not, perhaps a primer could be the answer. If not, then maybe having Botox could be the answer. Or, if you don’t like the idea of having cosmetic surgery, perhaps a retinol cream could be your best bet.
Yellowing of your teeth. As we age, our teeth become more prone to yellowing—perhaps this is due to the increasing amount of coffee we need to get up in the morning! Whatever the cause, it’s a fact that the older we get, the more yellow-toned our teeth become. The good news is that getting them looking wonderfully white isn’t as difficult as you would think. Going for regular dental checkups is, of course, important, as is seeing a dental hygienist for a deep cleaning once or twice a year. If that doesn’t do the trick, perhaps having your teeth whitened could be the answer?
Sagging eye bags (and puffiness). The area around our eyes is incredibly thin, which is why as we get older, under our eyes are prone to sagging and puffiness. To make the area under your eyes less visible, using a good eye cream is important. It’s also a good idea to apply a cold compress or slices of cucumber to the area once or twice a week, to help relieve any puffiness. Another option is to opt to use Ulthera for treating your skin with Ultrasound. This treatment helps to reduce the visibility of sagging eye bags and puffiness around the eyes.
Dullness. Another common symptom of aging in your twenties is dullness of the skin. As we age, our skin loses its ability to reproduce new skin cells as quickly, which leads to our skin looking duller than it did in our teens. The good news is that the answer to this problem is simple—regular exfoliation. By exfoliating two to three times a week, you can prevent your skin from looking dull.
