Movavi Photo Editor is the perfect choice for people who want to add text to the picture they are working on such as logo, birthday card and landscape photo. Text can be added to the photo with the use of a basic photo editor such as Movavi Photo Editor. It is better to use a photo editor to add text than to use an online tool like a meme generator. Movavi Photo Editor has a full feature text editor that supports all the font styles installed on your computer.
To add text to photo, the first step is to open the image by clicking the Browse for Images button. After you load the photo, you must select the Text tab on the right bar and click the Add Text button to add a new text box. Prior to entering the text, you must first decide where you want the text to be entered on the photo.
It is best to position the text box on a spot on the image where it is not busy. For example, on a beach photo with skyline above, the best place to position the text will be the skyline instead of on the ocean. Additionally, the text color must be in contrast with the background color for example white text is best used when the background is dark in color. Increasing the text size can also improve the contrast of the text against the background. If you are unable to see the text clearly, it means that the text color does not have enough contrast against the background.
To type in the text, you must double click inside the text box. The font color can be changed by choosing from the color palette box on the lower left. You can space the text to the second line by pressing the enter key. To enlarge the text box, you can hold your mouse cursor on the corner handle and drag it to a big enough size that will accommodate all the text.
You can add multiple text boxes on the photo. If you want to delete the text box, you just have to click the x button on the top left corner. Movavi Photo Editor gives you the ability to rotate the text box by pressing the rotation icon on the lower right corner. Every time you click the rotate icon, the text box will rotate by 90 degrees. Another way to rotate the text box is to drag the text rotation slider. Dragging the text rotating slider allows you to rotate the text at any angle you need. You are to click on the Remove all Text button to erase way text in all the text boxes.
Movavi Photo Editor can open large sized photo without any lagging issue. It only takes one second for the image to open when you drag it into the software to open it. When you are done adding the text, you can navigate to the file menu and select the save as option to save the photo. Another way to open the Save file dialog box is to click the Export button which can be found on the lower right corner. You are to select the folder where you want to save the image and enter a name for the image file.
It is recommended that you save the edited photo in a different folder and not overwrite the original version. In this way, you will be able to preserve the text free original version. Before clicking the Save button, make sure you choose the proper format in the Save as drop down menu. Movavi Photo Editor offers several types of compression methods including packbits, LZW and zip. Zip is the best compression method for 8 bit and 16 bits images. LZW compression format allows you to compress the image into half size. Packbits compression is not as good as LZW.
