Happy 30th anniversary Saks Miami Dadeland! As an anniversary present, Laurice Rahmé made a public appearance yesterday, Thursday November 13th to launch the Saks Fifth Avenue Miami-Dade limited edition Swarovski fragrance and the launch of the Queens fragrance.
As a gift to Chispa, Rahmé sat with us and explored the whys to her success and the what’s next. This French born, American businesswoman, and entrepreneur is not only the founder, creator, and president of Bond No. 9 New York Fragrances. She is an accomplished cook, which goes hand-in-hand with being a good perfumer.
After her years at working with Lancôme, L’Oréal USA (then Cosmair, Inc.), Annick Goutal, and Creed it’s obvious why in 2003, Laurice Rahmé launched her own fragrance company, Bond No. 9. As the first and only niche New York fragrance company for women, men, and unisex, its mission is to restore artistry to perfumery, and give a scent to each neighborhood in Manhattan.
Rahmé has sat on the Board of Directors for the Fragrance Foundation, and was named “Business Woman of the Year” by the Foundation’s Business Advisory Council Committee.
She received the “Beauty / Fragrance Entrepreneur Rising Star Award” at the 9th annual Rising Star Awards, which was sponsored by Fashion Group International (FGI). And is also the recipient of the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) “Innovator of the Year” award.
Listen as Laurice Rahmé gets conversational.
