The Most Visually Stunning Sights of Iceland

The Most Visually Stunning Sights of Iceland-Chispa MagazineIceland is often overlooked as a vacation destination. For one reason or another, people instead choose to flock to more popular locations. However, there is no shortage of things to see or do in this hotbed of European culture. Most of them involve incredible visuals that will leave a lasting impression on your memory. How about going whale spotting in the crystal clear oceans? If that doesn’t sound like something to make you sit up and take notice, I don’t know what will…

If you need more convincing about why you should think about trips to Iceland at the next available opportunity, know that Iceland is a country that is filled with incredible things to see. Even if you just head out in an attempt to spot the Northern Lights, you’ll encounter a lot more:

Dog Sledding
If there is just one way to take the chill out of the snowy climate, it would be dog sledding. Indeed, the sight of these huskies in the snow will warm your heart more than any campfire. You can spend an hour taking a tour with a pack of Huskies leading the way, which sounds like an hour well spent to me. Location may change depending on the time of year, so it’s important to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Ice Tunnel
Sometimes, we just can’t get our heads around how unfathomable creation is. However, we wouldn’t have it any other way. Indeed, many of creations results are some of the most impressive visuals you can imagine. Sometimes, it seems to defy the impossible and create a truly remarkable experience. With a helping hand from human kind, one such sight is the glacier ice tunnel of Langjökull. While it may be a man-made experience, it is one that embraces nature to the fullest extent. It’s well worth a visit.

Whale Watching
As I alluded to earlier, whale watching is just one of the activities you can partake in in Iceland. It’s a rare chance to get up close and personal with these marvelous sea creatures; how often would you get the opportunity to say that? Not often. Indeed, the sea adventure tours in Iceland are some of the most talked about in the world. And, for good reason. There is perhaps no better destination in the world for a spot of whale watching. Not only that, but you can turn that trip into a luxury cruise. Talk about two birds and one stone.

Next time you’re planning your dream vacation, give close attention to the things that Iceland could offer. If creating lasting memories are something you’re hoping to achieve, Iceland is perhaps the best place in the world to do so. The sights you’ll behold in the country are ones that you won’t soon forget.
