Helpful Guide To Buying Your First House_Chispa Magazine
Buying a house is one of your many life goals; it’s something to cross off life’s ‘to-do list’ alongside, graduating and getting married. But buying a house can be a very tricky procedure. There’s lots you need to know before you sign on the dotted line.

The Financial Issues
One of the biggest things on your mind, when buying a house, are the financial issues.

How Much Can You Afford?
Purchasing a house will cost a lot of money, it’s likely to be the most expensive thing you’ll ever buy. You should go down to your bank and speak with an advisor there. They will help you look over your finances and see what you can afford. It’s important you know how much you can spend because it will help when deciding on an area to live in.

House Prices
Different areas have different house prices. Usually, house prices are high in busy places in popular cities. Streets on the outskirts can be much cheaper. So you may want to live in a certain place, but not have the money to afford the house price.

Loans
A lot of people look for a big loan when buying a house. This is usually given to you by your bank, but you’ll have to pass credit checks, etc. It’s a lot of money so your bank will spend lots of time talking with you before they decide if you’re suitable.

What Do You Want?
Before you start looking for a house, you need to decide what you want. There are so many different homes for sale on the market; it can be a bit overwhelming. You need to consider how many bedrooms/bathrooms you want in your house? Or if you want a garage or a conservatory. Do you want a modern looking house or an old style? Do you want a garden? And if so, how big do you want it? These are just a few questions you should be asking yourself when deciding what house you want.

Hire Help
Go to a real estate broker and tell them exactly what you’re looking for. It will then be their job to scour the streets for your perfect home. They usually come back with a selection of properties, varying slightly in price/look.

Inspect The Property
Always conduct a thorough inspection of the property before you buy it. When you’re looking at a house there’s usually a home inspection as part of the whole process. A professional will inspect a property. You should tag along so you can have a proper look yourself. Check that all the lights work and the heating is fine. You don’t want to move in and find you need to redo the whole circuitry.

Yes, buying a house is a huge step to make, so don’t take it lightly. Unfortunately, the work doesn’t stop after you’ve bought your house. You have to move in. Moving can be a long, stressful process; however, check out these moving tips, here.
