Festival colors, prints, lace, pleats and above all femininity at Roberto Cavalli, symbolizing happiness and the joy of life this summer. The wooden catwalk echoed the deck of a marina and the inspiration for Roberto Cavalli came from his summer expeditions when travelling on his yacht which translated into a collection full of sunshine and sensuality. The dresses were long, fluid, sometimes see-through and embroidered, the Cavalli woman never goes by unnoticed. Leather was featured on short pleated skirts, and jackets were in crocodile skin, and for the evening, the black lace revealed the colors and skin underneath parsimoniously.
Roberto Cavalli: When you open the window in the morning when you wake up and you see the sun in the summer, you have all of the sea in front of you and you wish to have colors on you, and otherwise that is the reason that we started the collection with the first 10 pieces with color, long lines, free, out they go the 10 pieces that are embroidered with white, shorts and after a combination with jeans, material (texture) braiding, embroidery. But the part of the collection that I preferred is at the end when 50 models all walk together and it’s the moment you can see all almost all the collection together and you can see the difference from one piece to the other piece. You can see how much I study, not how much I work, how much I study, how much I love you, because to have so many ideas means that I love you.
