Amazingly Original Career Ideas for Women

Amazingly Original Career Ideas for Women_Chispa MagazineAs a woman, you might be thinking about a career change, and perhaps you don’t want to do any of the jobs that society dictates a woman should be doing. Instead, you want to think outside the box and do something more unique and original. We have grouped some great ideas to give you food for thought.

Entrepreneur
Running your own business might not be that unusual for a woman, but it’s an important career path. It seems more men these days work as entrepreneurs, yet there’s no reason you can’t run your own company tomorrow. Make sure you have a sensible business plan and be certain you know your figures.

Plumber
If you’re good with your hands and you enjoy fixing things you could do much worse than a career as a plumber. Of course, you’ll want to visit plumbersrus.ca and do some research first. You’ve got to understand exactly what’s required to be a plumber; it might be worth getting advice too. Call a plumber as part of your research. Ask them questions about what they’re doing, and how they find their career.

Soccer Player
A more unusual career path you might not have considered is becoming a soccer player. You might associate professional soccer as being a male sport. But women’s soccer is well on the rise. With the World Cup coming soon this year, it looks set to increase even more in popularity. If you want a career in this industry, you’re going to need talent and dedication.

Mechanic
When you think about car mechanics you probably think about middle-aged, working class men who are car obsessives. But in reality, women can have just as fulfilling a career as mechanics as men can. Of course, a keen interest in cars and how things work is vital. You’ll also need to be determined and thick-skinned to succeed in a male-dominated industry.

Trucker
Truck driving is often associated as being a male-dominated profession. But there’s no reason you can’t enjoy a successful career as a trucker. Many trucking companies are looking to diversify, so they’ll be happy to take on more women. But, you need to be prepared for the fact that a career as a trucker means a life on the road. On the plus side, this career path offers you a lot of freedom and travel opportunities.

Private Investigator
Believe it or not, there are plenty of opportunities out there for women who want to work as PI’s. Bear in mind, this job is nothing like the glamorized version you see on television. It’s a lot of hard work, paperwork, and long nights. But, it can be very rewarding, and exciting as each day can be markedly different from the last.

These are just some of the more unusual jobs you might take up as a woman. Just because they’re not traditionally associated with females shouldn’t put you off. Never be afraid to break the mold and do something different.
