Selfies + Chat With Dr. Ana Marìa Polo

Dra. Ana Maria Polo and Mavian Arocha-Rowe Chispa Magazine
After attending a private roundtable discussion with Cuban American lawyer and arbitrator on Telemundo’s Caso Cerrado, Dr. Ana Marìa Polo has won our hearts. Her sincere personality is jolly yet professional, to the point yet wise, witty yet thought-provoking. And, full of surprises.

With my crossover question at hand, Polo beat me to it and announced, “For Thanksgiving I am thankful for this year as I just signed a contract with Sony Entertainment to conduct my own talk show in English.” As we continue to chat we both agree, “the English market needs to see our professionalism, not just our fame in the world of entertainment.”

She has captivated our attention and here at Chispa we’re working on having some one-on-one time with this woman full of spark and vitality. But as we continue to work on scheduling, we leave you with five quotes from Polo, and as you read… you too will want more of her.

Take Five With Polo

“For women who want to open their own business they first need to educate themselves and prioritize.”

“Fear comes from lack of support from others. There is no need for fear if you believe in yourself.”

“I had cancer and believe there are worse things in life than cancer that are more toxic. One doesn’t need cancer to have a second act.”

“Ignorance, disrespect, mental illness frustrate me.”

“Facebook can be good, yet it can also be depressing as we all have issues and not all equals to pretty pictures.”
