Do You Really Have The Perfect Home?

Do You Really Have The Perfect Home_Chispa Magazine
Think you’ve got the perfect home? You might be right. It could be you’ve invested significant time and money into making your home absolutely the best. How can you be so sure though? Are doubts planted in your mind now? Is it not as luxurious as you once thought it was?

Coordination
Be it color coordination or a little balance, coordination for your home is what you need for it to be truly, close to perfect. Do the carpets fit the curtains? Are the walls the right color for the furniture? How does it all look?

To the untrained eye, it might not be possible to see the flaws. If you consider yourself a master of interior design, analyze your home. Be critical. There could be something you hadn’t thought about messing with your design.

Cleanliness
Cleanliness is next to godliness as they say. Even if you do have the perfect home from a design perspective, it won’t mean anything if it’s covered in dirt and dust.

The thing is about dirt and dust, is that it can get anywhere. Without fail, it will find somewhere to hide. Be sure to dust and wipe down all surfaces, from top to bottom.

Your carpets can be a breeding group for dirt if you let it. There is plenty of space for bacteria to fester in the fibres of the carpets. Not only that, but carpets stain easily too. A spilled glass of wine might spell doom for carpets.

With carpet cleaning services life comes back to weary carpets, plus services like this should be done as a routine for high-traffic areas. A lot of these companies have the equipment for deep cleaning, meaning they can suck the stains out of the carpets. Instead of trying to hide stains, consider getting someone in to do a professional cleaning job instead.

Space
A home is not perfect if it isn’t livable. It might be nice to look at, but if it isn’t functional, it isn’t perfect. Part of what makes a functional home is the space. Nobody wants to be bumping into coffee tables or furniture at all angles. You need to be able to proudly stride through your home.

Minimalism is an underrated concept with interior design. Less is always more, but sometimes people have a compulsion to just add needless frivolous extras to their home. Cut it out. Think about what you really need, rather than just what you want.

Comfort
Is your home nice to live in? This is the most important question to ask yourself. Sure the chairs might look nice, but if they’re hard and lumpy are you ever going to sit on them? Balance design with comfort the best you can. You’ll not regret it.

The truth is, no home is perfect. Tastes and standards can differ. What is perfect for one person may not be for another. Following the above checklist will get you close to perfection though, but not at the expense of a livable home. Don’t sacrifice function for fashion.
