Travel Beauty Tips You Need to Know

Whether you’re traveling by train, plane, or automobile, the journey can really take a toll on your appearance, but if you want to look as glamorous as a movie star as you travel around the globe, don’t worry because there are several things you can do to maintain your usual beauty standards while you travel…

Stay Hydrated.

The most important thing you can do for your beauty when traveling is to stay hydrated. If you don’t get enough fluids into yourself, your skin will become dry, deflated, and dull, which is not ideal. Not only that, but you’ll be more likely to suffer from headaches too, which is the last thing you want when you’re off on an adventure.

Moisturize More Often.

Another thing you should do to avoid the dry dull skin that travel can so often cause is to moisturize more often than you usually would, and with a more intense moisturizing product than usual. Basically, the moister your skin, the better you will look.

Use a Primer.

If you plan to wear makeup while you travel, be sure to apply a primer first. It will help to keep your makeup perfectly in place even if you do fall asleep on the plane, and it will also help to lock moisture into your skin, providing it is cream or silicone-based, too.

Pack a Straightener with Rolling Cylinder.

Travelling can really mess up your hair, but one product that can really help you out when you’re on the road is a hair straightener with rolling cylinder. This clever contraception can dry your hair more quickly than a conventional hairdryer, which is ideal when you’re traveling, and it will ensure that your hair is smooth and perfectly styled, even if you have spent 10 hours on a train. Just make sure you apply a bit of hairspray after styling.

Spritz with Mineral Water.

If you feel your skin getting too hot, sweaty, or dried out, then misting with a little mineral water will help to revive it without ruining your makeup, which is why it’s always a good idea to pack a small spray bottle in your hand luggage.

Use Lip Stain.

Lipstick is not ideal for travel. Even long-lasting ones can end up smudging or drying out your lips when you’re traveling long distance. So, if you don’t want to leave your lips naked (well you should always wear lip balm to keep them moist when traveling) applying several layers of lip stain is a great way to achieve the lipstick look without any of the downsides.

Apply Ice.

If your eyes are red or puffy after a long flight, the best way to revive them is by wrapping a little crushed ice in a thin cloth and applying it to the eye area for 10 minutes or so; longer if you can. This will soothe your sore eyes, reduce redness and minimize dark circles, which is why the ice machine is the first thing you should hit up when you reach your hotel.
