Effective Ways to Lose Fat

When most of us talk about losing weight, what we actually want to do is lose fat. After all, losing muscle tone and water weight will not make us healthier and it certainly will not make us look toned, but how exactly do you lose more fat than anything else?

It’s actually pretty simple. Below are some tried and tested ways you can lose fat and maintain muscle mass, getting healthier and more toned in the process:

Exercise regularly.

When we exercise, we burn up more of our white fat stores which is the bad kind of fat that causes us to become overweight and sick. So, although it’s an obvious point, exercising is a great way to burn fat while also maintaining existing muscle and building more. Cardio is probably the best way to drop fat and lifting will help you to maintain/build muscle, so focus on them if you can, but any exercise will help.

Eat more protein.

When you eat more protein and drastically cut the amount of carbs you are taking in, as well as your calorie count by a sensible amount then your body will naturally start dipping into your first stores for food to make up the shortfall. Not only that, but protein is vital for building muscle, so it will help you to maintain muscle mass and tone up as you drop fat and lose weight.

Coolsculpting.

If you’re looking for a quick fix, coolsculpting is a cosmetic technique that freezes your fat away allowing you to remove it from your body without losing weight from muscle or water or anything else that your body usually eliminates in the average diet. Coolsculpting cost is currently very reasonable so it is definitely worth considering if you have struggled with other methods in the past.

Try intermittent fasting.

The body stores fat so that it is able to sustain you when there is no food available. This is not usually a problem in the modern world where we can just go to the store and buy the food we need whenever we like, but we can simulate the effect by having periods of intermittent fasting when we do not eat. When we are fasting, our body will use up our fat stores to feed us and we will be able to lose fat without it affecting the rest of our bodies significantly.

Remember recovery time.

If you do not allow your body time to recover between exercise sessions, then there is more chance that you will lose some muscle mass because you will be working your body too hard and it is often easier or the body to use muscle as fuel in the first instance. Many people think you need to exercise hard all day every day to see significant gains,m but if you are looking for fast loss, then rest days are your friend.

As you can see, it is perfectly possible to lose fat first and foremost when you are trying to lose weight and get healthy, so what are you waiting for?
