Aging Problems that Should Not be Ignored

Aging Problems-Health-Chispa Magazine

While aging is something that cannot be stopped, it is an inevitable cycle that defines the beauty of life and justifies the fact that nothing is permanent. It can be similarly compared with a flower, which on its peak blossoms, gives back to the world and eventually lays to rest after it collapses or leaves its living form. However, it takes a lot of effort and consistency to water and nurture a plant like it’s your own child, and the same theory can be applied to humans and how we live our life.

Our bodies share the most complicated mechanisms that can be found on our planet. Everything present in our body is interconnected to each other so intrinsically that it feels that every part of the body has a brain of its own.

Consider this: Whenever you eat something that is not hygienic or is causing a distress in your digestive system, your liver will sense it and send signals to your brain and eventually you will feel pain. This process can definitely be considered magical but like any other machine, our body too needs a lot of attention as we move towards the old ages.

Below are a few health issues that should be taken care of along the journey of life, it is something that can instigate a deeper sense of what is healthy ageing and can also increase the life expectancy.

Mental Health

Over the years there have been multiple notions about the acceptability of mental health but gradually it has been considered as a condition that can cause seriously adverse effects if left unnoticed or simply ignored. The causes of depression are definitely not limited and can be related to a number of reasons. One of the major conditions that definitely should be addressed is ‘Anhedonia’, it’s a condition in which people do not feel pleasure in the activities that they used to love. The main issue is that people do not address such problems and do not even seek help from someone, however depression can be hazardous and can lead to severe health issues.

Memory

Just like depression, memory loss is also something that can cause severe anxiety issues in older people. The approach that a person can follow is to analyze the functioning of the brain and get it evaluated with the help of a doctor. Regular evaluation of memory functions can help identify any issues at hand and ascertain which part of the brain is not responding the way it should.

Vision

Out of all the senses we have, the eyes are the gateway that lets you witness the beauty of life. However, while moving towards old age, people tend to see spots, lines which create a blurry vision in front of your eyes, these are called eye floaters. While floaters have been declared as a non-life-threatening issue but can be declared a serious issue if it starts growing and can even make a person blind.

Earlier, eye floaters were treated surgically, which was a risky process and included the extreme risks such as loss of eyesight. Now, one just has to find an ophthalmologist who provides eye floaters solutions and it can be treated with the help of laser surgery. It is, after all, the eyesight that we are talking about; and clear vision is something that cannot be compromised.

The conditions mentioned in this article are the most common issues which, if left ignored can make your old age depressing, yes ignorance towards diseases also causes depression as our bodies and minds work together in sync. So, identify these problems as early as you can and don’t let old age come in between a fuller, happier life.
