Founded in 1984 in Valenza as a jeweler’s workshop, Vhernier fathers jewels and with their physical expression of ancestral forms, create memories. They explain their journey: the jewels come into to our minds, float to the surface, and then fall under our gaze again.
Carlo Traglio, president of Vhernier is clear with his objectives: develop the company while maintaining its history and tradition supported by highly-skilled craftsmen who have mastered all the technical secrets to perfection. Quality, design, color, and Italian craftsmanship is part of their DNA. “Influenced by contemporary art, nature, and architecture, the inspiration of our latest pieces are from the artworks of modern artists such as Fontana, Brancusi, and Jean Arp,” says Traglio.
Giving back is also an objective high on their agenda. With their Pirouette Ring they help support Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) ongoing efforts to educate the children of St. Luc Street Schools and the Academy for Peace and Justice in Haiti. Each ring sold will provide one child with an entire year of high-quality education. With only 1,000 created, this exclusive ring made of silver, sheathed in rose gold, and engraved with “Vhernier for Kids Haiti” is sold at Vhernier boutiques for $1,370. For each ring purchase Vhernier will pledge 100 percent of the proceeds to APJ.
Location. Location. Location. Recently they choose Miami as one of their homes after their opening at Milan. “Miami is our second location in the US market. We chose Miami because we think the Design District is the perfect showcase for our jewelry, which is influenced by art and design. It is also a destination point for South America. Our mono brand boutiques are in Milan, Rome, Capri, Venice, Paris, Dubai, Geneva, Athens, and Beverly Hills, plus we are thinking of expanding our brand to the Chinese market, as well as opening new stores in NY and London,” says Traglio. “In our boutiques, we like to convey a casual atmosphere to our clients that makes them feel part of the Vhernier family, in any city of the world they happen to be in.” he adds.
